Dihyet’ül Kelbi (r.a) Becoming a Muslim

Dıhyet’ül Kelbi (r.a) was a very handsome companion; He was very similar to the Messenger of Allah (s.a.v). His descendants were also from kings. During the pre-islamic age of ignorance, there was some disorder among the Companions. Cebrail (a.s) came and said: “Messenger of Allah! Dihye is coming to you to become a Muslim.” The Messenger of Allah (c.c.) said to the Companions in the morning prayer: “Dıhye will come here and become a Muslim. Treat Dıhye(r.a) well. Something has happened between you in the past, but throw away these resentments!” When Dıhye came, The Prophet (s.a.v.) was very happy. When the Prophet (s.a.v.) was happy, his face was shining like the moon. Hz. Muhammad (s.a.v.) took off his robe and threw it in Dıhye because of the mosque is soil. Dihya (r.a) was shy to sit on the robe of the Messenger of Allah (s.a.v.), so he collected the robe, kissed it, applied it to his face and eyes, and then put it next to him. Dıhye (r.a) said: “Dear Messenger of Allah! I came to be a Muslim; “Eşhedü en la ilahe illallah ve eşhedü enne Muhammeden abdühü ve Rasulühü”. Dıhye (r.a) started to cry after he became a Muslim. Hz. Muhammad (s.a.v.) said: “Dear Dıhye! Why are you crying? Your happiest day is today. You became a Muslim anymore. Allah (c.c.) has given you guidance.” Dıhye (r.a) said: “Dear Messenger of Allah! I did not know in the age of ignorance. I killed seventy girls alive. I’m willing to do whatever punishment you give me right now. If you want say to me: ‘I will kill you instead of these children.’ I agree, ‘I will take your property.’, I agree. Cebrail (a.s) came and said: “Dear Messenger of Allah! Just as Dıhye said, “Eşhedü en la ilahe illallah ve eşhedü enne Muhammeden abdühü ve Rasulühü”, Allah (c.c.) forgave all his sins. The religion of Islam deletes those before the islamic confession of faith . This time, the Companions were very upset: “Isn’t there something like this for us too?” Hz. Muhammed (s.a.v.) said: “Whoever says La ilaha illallah will enter Paradise.” (Müslim, Kitabü’l- iman, 53)
Since when we say it, Allahu Teala forgives us, donate us. We say: La ilahe illallah La ilahe illallah La ilahe illallah La ilahe illallah La ilahe illallah La ilahe illallah.
